Ski Trail maintenance: Beginner’s Loop, Swampy Lakes Trail System

There have been a few trail surveys done in the last two weeks, and there are no reports of new blowdown on the trails. During a survey of the Beginner’s Loop at Swampy, a few spots were identified that need work. On Wednesday, November 29 we’ll be brushing a couple sections of this trail, and adding a few markers to eliminate confusing spots. We’ll be using loppers and pole saws, and hauling a ladder.

- The NOAA forecast for Wednesday at Swampy: sunny, with a high around 40.

Plan - Meet at Cascade Lakes Forest Service Welcome Center at 8:30 AM
- Please bring regular PPE (hard hat, gloves, glasses, long sleeve shirt, etc) We can provide PPE if need be. Please let me know if you need a hard hat.
- Distance hiked: 2.5 miles, minimal elevation gain.
- Expect to return to town between 2 and 3 PM.
