Ski Trail maintenance: Todd Lake Trail

We now have enough snow to install marker poles on the ski and snowshoe trails in the open meadow on the Todd Lake trail. We will ski down the Todd Lake trail and retrieve the marker poles from a cache and install them along the trails. We may return via the Water tower trail and check on previously installed poles to make sure they are visible and reset if necessary.

We may also be raising the ladder board sign at the Common Corridor crossing.

The NOAA forecast for Wednesday at Dutchman: snow, with a high around 30. We may be breaking trail so I am hoping to have at least six people to rotate on trail breaking. This can be a lot of work, and the pace may be slow.
    • Plan -  Meet at the parking lot west of the ice rink on Simpson (where the summer float shuttle operates) at 9:00 AM
      • Be prepared for inclement weather, and potentially a slower pace if trail breaking ie needed (that is, you may need to dress warmer than usual for a tour). No special tools needed for the work we will be doing.

Total distance: approx. 5 miles We expect to return to town between 3 and 4 PM but can’t guarantee we will be back by 4.

Feel free to contact me if you have questions.
