Ski Trail Maintenance - Vista Butte

There have been a few trail surveys done lately but no new data from the Vista Butte area. The last survey at Vista reported a couple of leaners that were easy to get around, but it would be good to check to see if there are any new obstacles. Now that we have new snow on the way  we’ll take on a survey of these trails on Wednesday, February 14. We’ll be using a pole saw and hand saws to improve marker visibility, and perhaps hang a few diamonds in places where the trail is confusing. Considering weather, snow accumulation and number of folks we may also do some improvement to the beginning of the Flagline Tie trail to Peace Meadow as that is difficult to follow in places 

• Plan -  meet at the Parks and Rec parking lot near the Kayak roundabout off Columbia at 8:30 AM 
• • Bring a hand saw if you have one. 
    Expect to return to town between 3 and 4 PM
