CONC On-snow Instructor Training Clinic: Practice Teaching
Opportunity to practice teaching skills and techniques for Beginner, Advanced Beginner and Hills clinics.
We will ski at Swampy sno-park and check out the new High School loop, if groomed.
Date/Time: Tuesday Dec 3, 2024 -- 9AM-12PM
Destination: Swampy Sno-Park
Meeting time/place:
9:00 AM - Meet at the Grove in Bend (NW Crossing) to go over agenda and preliminaries as well a bit of socializing & coffee drinking, arrange carpooling, sign waivers
9:30 AM - Leave for destination
10:00 AM – On-The-Snow
Note: I ask that everyone meet at the Grove before heading to sno-park. This will be
Category: Classic, Groomed Trails -- grooming does officially start until Dec 1 so we will groom our own tracks.
Duration: 2hours on the trail, approximately 30 min drive time each way to destination from Bend.
What to Bring:
Ski Equipment:
Appropriate classic ski equipment for groomed tracks: 70 mm width skis or less to fit in the tracks. Wider skis are OK, but they will not fit in the tracks so you will be skiing in the skating lane.‘
Gear:
- Clothing to match the forecasted conditions; Proper winter clothing (no cotton)!
- Water, snack.
- A smile
Sno-park permit required to park at Meissner sno-park.
