Snowshoe Trail Maintenance

8:30 to 2:00

Not getting any reports of blowdown on the snowshoe trails, so  will head to Vista Butte to give the new trail a shoe. We will clear any blowdown and adjust or add any markers. Though it is only 1 mile from the trailhead to the crest, the elevation gain is 700', so an opportunity to work off that extra piece of pumpkin pie. 



 Plans                  

  • Tuesday December 3rd
    •  (NOAA Forecast) . Sunny, with a high near 43.
  • Meet at Bend Parks & Recreation District Office Lot at 799 SW Columbia St (where the kayaks are in the roundabout) at 8:30 AM
  • We will park in the the parking spots closest to the river
  • Group up and drive to Vista Butte Sno-park.
  • SNOWSHOES, Long-sleeve shirts, glasses, gloves and hard hats  I will have a couple of extra hard hats
  • Crosscut and katanaboy if you have one. We will select what we need when we divide up. I will have a pole saw.
  • Expect to return to town by 2PM
