Pleased to get "all clear of blowdown" reports this week by Gary Evans for the Vista Butte and John Stephenson for the Todd Lake snowshoe trails. Gary did suggest, as Larry Cohen had earlier, a need for a couple more markers at the summit and John noted the absence of the blue-pole mounted junction sign in Todd Meadow. Sue has volunteers checking on the blue poles at Todd Lake this Sunday, so will wait and see what they encounter.
This week, we will head back to Swampy to replace the 4 YouAreHere maps and backing boards at junctions F, G, H,and I on the Porcupine Loop. THis will require hauling one section of ladder, as well as the new YAH map boards, and old ones out. We will head counterclockwise on the trail, using the Summit Bypass, giving us the easiest return. Though the focus is on signs, we will take a couple of saws.
