Snow conditions this week are likely to be challenging at the higher elevation Sno-Parks. We’ll work on the West Loop at Skyliner, since at this point there’s not much snow there, and the work can be done without skis or snowshoes.
The work will involve some light brushing and a fair amount of limbing. We’ll also put up junction signs at three locations and update markers as needed.
The weather is forecast to be sunny, with a high in the mid 40s. No snow is expected between this writing and Wednesday so we should continue to have little snow at this location.
What to bring: Ten essentials, Extra gloves (since they’re likely to get wet), water, snack/lunch. Hard hats are required and can be provided if you don’t have one. Bring a hand saw if you have one. Bring YakTracks or similar snow cleats in case it’s icy.
Carpooling: We’ll meet inside at the Grove at 9:00 AM to sort out carpooling, and plan to be underway by about 9:15.
