Special XC Ski Instructor Training Clinic with Mike Browder

Mike Browder, PSIA clinician and examiner, will lead a clinic for those interested inteaching XC skiing.  The topic will be teaching beginners classic skiing.

Mike is a former resident of Bend and now lives in France.  He has been involved wit the Professional Ski Instructors of America for several decades and has a wealth of experience in instructing students and instructors alike as well as coaching skiing.

Mike has generously offered a couple hours of his time to CONC.  We appreciate Mikes generosity.  Mike is well acquainted with CONC from his Bend days.

Destination: Meissner Sno-Park

Meeting time/place:

9:00 AM- Meet at the Grove in Bend (NW Crossing) to meet & greet, arrange carpooling, sign waivers

9:15  AM - Leave for destination

9:30  AM – 11;30 AM  On-The-Snow

What to Bring:

Ski Equipment:

Appropriate classic ski equipment for groomed tracks: 70 mm width skis or less to fit in the tracks. Wider skis are OK, but they will not fit in the tracks so you will be skiing in the skating lane.‘

Gear:

- Clothing to match the forecasted conditions; Proper winter clothing (no cotton)!

- Water, snack.

- A smile

Sno-park permit required to park at sno-park.
